Comments have been passed around that Jack Riewoldt may leave the tigers. The club has offered him $700 000 to stay at the club, and he believes that he is worth more. The club told him that if they paid him a little lower than 1 million they have a real chance at the premiership in the next few years. If Riewoldt does jump ship, he will leaves his team mates and the loyalty of his team to another club. Is it right to have your earnings higher in your thoughts than your loyalty to your team mates? In my opinion I think that you should keep your loyalty with your team. They earn more than the average wage for Aussies every year. My only thought is that they only have around 10 years to earn as much money as they can before they leave their profession. That is a challenge but when most players leave the AFL they already own businesses or they will go out and start shops etc to earn more money. I believe that they should stay with their clubs and keep their loyalty with their teammates.

Another case was Lance (buddy) Franklin. Greater Western Sydney (GWS) may offer Franklin a higher salary than what he is getting at Hawthorn to help the new club make a bang in the years to come. They predict that if he does move to GWS that their will be a raise from 12,000 to 25,000 people come and watch the game. Nothing has been confirmed at this time.
